Word Salad!! featuring Dirt Lady
Hey there reader! Boy oh boy it's been a while. Let me know if you like my poetry and I'll post some more! Or, you know, vice versa! Thank you for visiting my headspace.
Dirt Lady
Tread lightly;
underfoot lives the Dirt Lady
she came to the woods
as
you come to the woods
the difference is; she never left
respect her: she sheds
her earthly desires
and
gives her all back
the world becomes round as she
clicks into place
she wraps herself in rotting leaves
settles deep into the rich aroma
dark fertile soil
she reaches out her roots;
extremities
anchored to the earth
worms squiggle in & out of her nose / mouth
her eyes go glassy
reflect back, leaf, cloud, blue, rain
her back disappears
her all becomes nothing
shallow breathing,
stolen by winds
given back by her Mother Trees
Dirt Lady lies underfoot
walks motionless among
her brothers / sisters
she is an ancient child
she lives on as we
cycle in & out
she bloats with mold as we
fade from importance / memory
she becomes the mother
Dirt Lady is the woods
as
you are insignificant
