making lists for the apocalypse

   milk     tofu       greens       cinnamon 

placidly ignite my bed / socks / head

cinders and I leap in glee

grow my fingernails long

tear off the oxygen mask

the euphoria of autonomic poison

I smear my toes in glue and 

walk up the wall to meet you

You're so beautiful!

I try on your polished teeth

they don't fit - 

I bend the card so it will 

nest inside your ear canal

tear off through the woods

envisioning smoked ham &

diesel tractors & conventional footwear

tar pouring down each hair

sloughing off like fresh honeycomb

I knock on your door in time

one - two - three in time for tea
